This post is aimed at experienced Recruiters from Senior consultants and above

Millennium Bridge and The City of London at night, City of London, London, England

We all live for today, maybe only looking towards our immediate future, like this commission quarter, and rarely thinking beyond that.
Recruitment is like riding a continuous wave with lots of highs and lows. The highs keep us coming back and push us for the next one.

But how often do you think about your career status, your station in life and what will change for you in the coming years?

Are you content?
Have you earned more or less in recent years according to your P60?
Are you satisfied in your role and has there/ will there be further career progression?
Do you have an exit strategy?

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with holding the same job title for years and earning a stable income, especially during difficult times.
But despite being comfortable, it’s always good to keep an open mind to opportunities that could be life-changing.

With each prospect comes a risk versus reward outcome and only you know what’s best.
It’s about being receptive to learning what your worth would be in other organisations and why they value your expertise, industry speciality or leadership qualities.

But only if you can spare the time to hear us out.

If an R2R Specialist has approached you, it’s not speculative, it’s for a reason.
We are always grateful for your time – even if it ends up as something that you politely decline afterwards.

Being open or choosing to flat-out reject the notion of a career move will always be your prerogative.

Opportunity only knocks once and I implore you to come to the door to listen.
